Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! This blog is an ongoing study of Fyodor Dostoevsky's 1866 classic Crime and Punishment. On the right is a list of links, providing a fuller understanding of the author, their circumstances, their cultural and geographical context, the characters, and the book itself. The purpose of this blog is to provide a critical analysis of the novel, and to shed light on this question; Can Crime and Punishment still be considered a classic? Does it still effect contemporary readers the way it did for those of the mid 19th century? Or does it struggle for relevance? Keep following this blog and the question will be answered over the next few months.
